Fall is very obviously is my favourite season; that’s a darn given. This summer, us Albretan’s were lucky to have such a hot summer like we did. However, I am SO thankful the heat is done (except for today because for whatever God forsaken reason it is October 17, and it is 22 degrees?!…THIS PROVINCE CONFUSES ME!) but the light is so soft the most part of the day, it just seems so much yummier than it would be on a hot summer evening at 9:00pm. Maybe it is just me who thinks that but I really can’t place it for some reason. To be completely honest with you, I am actually altogether just incredible thankful to live in a country where we typically get all 4 seasons, although Alberta’s for seem to be the standard 6-8 month period..it’s fine. Everything is totally fine.

I have been DYING to capture the perfect light at this location in the Edmonton River valley. There is a particular part of the park where the forest is quite bare and faces where the sun sets. My session with Ben & Megan happened to be the time and place where I was finally able to capture this amazing light and I am above and beyond happy about the outcome. Megan was one of my clients, Maydie + Dan’s bridesmaid and inquired to book a session with me before the snowfall hit for the winter. I am just so excited about it.
